Quantity Surveyor
Heron Bros are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the Construction Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the contractual and financial aspects of construction projects while ensuring projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess material, labour and equipment requirements
• Obtain quotations and undertake cost analysis
• Procure materials, services, labour and equipment
• Monitor and control project costs throughout construction
• Liaise with subcontractors and agree work plans and conditions
• Value interim and completed works and arrange payments
• Assess variations, claims and final accounts
• Prepare regular costing and financial reports
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site management teams
• Support project delivery by ensuring deadlines and budgets are achieved
Essential Requirements:
• Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a main contractor role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence dealing with clients, subcontractors and site teams
• Strong IT skills and experience using a range of software packages
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
• Current valid UK driving licence
Desirable Requirements:
• Professional accreditation such as RICS or CIOB
