JBG uses this procurement platform, which is hosted by the Scottish
Government, to advertise and manage tendering exercises.

To do business with JBG, you will normally need to register your business on PCS. You can also register to receive free e-mail alerts from PCS in respect of suitable tender opportunities.

There is no charge to register your business on PCS and it is free to use.

JBG adheres to the rules and regulations laid down by procurement
legislation, Scottish and UK law, and published government guidance and best practice.

We must follow a formal tender process in respect of tender opportunities with an estimated value above the ‘regulated’ threshold. These opportunities will normally be advertised using PCS.

An opportunity is also advertised on the Find a Tender Service (FTS), which is hosted by the UK Government, if its estimated value exceeds the relevant threshold set by procurement law. There is no charge to use the Find a Tender Service.

In some instances, JBG makes use of framework agreements established by collaborative buying organisations.

Jobs and Business Glasgow’s Contracts Register shows contracts awarded with an estimated value of £50,000 or more. The Contracts Register is available on the Public Contracts Scotland website.

Jobs and Business Glasgow’s Procurement Policy sets out the general operating principles covering the organisation’s procurement activities and objectives.

The intent is that requirements for supplies, works and services are efficiently and effectively met, providing Jobs and Business Glasgow with the best possible value for money (i.e. the optimum balance of cost, quality, and sustainability).
